​​​​​​People's Artist of Russian Federation, Laureate of Anna Pavlova Prix (1956), Legend of Russian Classical Ballet, Prima Ballerina, Ballet Mistress, Teacher and Coach, Alla Yevgenyevna Osipenko was born in Leningrad, Russia, in 1932. She entered Leningrad Choreographic School (Vaganova Ballet Academy) in 1941, graduating in 1950 in Class of Professor Agrippina Vaganova. Same year she was admitted to Leningrad Kirov Ballet ( now Mariinsky ) and in 1954 promoted to Prima Ballerina. From 1954 - 1971 she has Danced all Classical Ballet repertoire in many noted roles such as Odette - Odile in Swan Lake, Lilac Fairy in The Sleeping Beauty, Mistress of the Copper Mountain in The Stone Flower by Grigorovich, Mekhmene Banu in Legend of Love by Grigorovich, Masha/Sugar Plum Fairy in The Nutcracker, Gamzatti and Nikya in La Bayadere, Raymonda in Raymonda, Phrygia in Spartacus, Wals and Mazurka in Les Sylphides, Sari in Ballet Path of Thunder and many other principal roles in Ballet's created by Contemporary Russian Choreographers. After 21 years of dancing as Prima Ballerina at Kirov/Mariinsky Ballet In 1971 she resigned and Joined Ballet Troupe called Choreographic Miniatures by famous Ballet Master and Choreographer Leonid Yakobson. There she danced all leading roles specially created for her and was partnered permanently by John Markovsky. From 1973 Mme.Osipenko was dancer with Leninconcert and performed frequently at the Maly Theatre (Mikhailovsky) where danced many Principal Roles in Classical and Contemporary works by diverse Russian Choreographers of that time. From 1977 - 1982 danced as Principal Dancer at Leningrad Ballet Troupe Directed by Ballet Master and Choreographer Boris Eifman who created many roles just for his Muse - Alla Osipenko. During  over three decades long dancing career Mme.Osipenko was partnered and danced with Rudolf Nureyev, Mikhail Baryshnikov, Vladilen Semenov, Svyatoslav Kuznetsov, Boris Bregvadze, Yuri Soloviev, Nikita Dolgushin, Anatoliy Nisnevich and John Markovsky. With Kirov/Mariinsky Ballet she has toured and danced all over the World astonishing audiences from Japan to Europe, North and South America with her beauty and Art of dancing.While still dancing at Kirov Ballet Mme.Osipenko started teaching from 1966 - 1970 at the Vaganova Ballet Academy. During 1990 she was invited to work in The United States as Ballet Mistress and Coach with Hartford Ballet in Connecticut and was Guest Master Teacher in many Ballet School's throughout USA. In 2000 she returned to Russia and currently is Ballet Mistress and Repetiteur at Mikhailovsky Theater in St.Petersbourg, Russia. For her service to the Art of Classical Ballet and Distinguished Career she was awarded Golden Sofit Prize in 2002. Mme.Osipenko appeared in many movies and in theatre's as Film/Television and Dramatic Actress.
